Katy Perry, who’s not only a pop icon but also a philanthropist turned up for the 35th Annual Colleagues Spring Luncheon and Oscar de la Renta fashion show in style. The event held at Beverly Wilshire Hotel on April 25, featured the 2024 fall collection of Oscar de la Renta, by the designers- Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia. Perry was invited to be honored at the event for her impact on the youth with the Firework Foundation, where she received the prestigious Colleagues Champion of Children Award.
Katy Perry needs no introduction for she is a trendsetter, and this occasion was no different. She showed up in a breathtaking white halter dress, with which she donned white barely-there sandals by Tom Ford. The dress had an Oscar de la Renta design that had floral lace details. The outfit complemented Katy’s silhouette and certainly had to be the outfit of the day for such a prestigious event.
Although her footwear choices never fail to amuse us, she looks elegant in everything she wears. Boasting a pointed toe and a delicate strap. However, the sleek lock and key detail in gold, on her ankle strap stole the limelight, which elevated the allure of the overall outfit. The summer sandal choice was very certain by Katy Perry’s footwear picks that she donned on “American Idol.”
Perry walked the red carpet with her family, displaying affection and unity beyond the cause. Her parents, Keith Hudson and Mary Perry, and sister Angela Lerche joined her on this momentous occasion. The family displayed a variety of styles, from Mary’s classic charm in a floral black A-line skirt and cardigan to Keith’s rugged Western-inspired look. Angela added her flair with a beige spaghetti-strap dress and olive green heels.
Katy has been singled out for the award due to her tireless efforts through the Firework Foundation. It’s an initiative that Perry and her sister Angela jointly launched. It aimed at influencing the youth to ignite their inner light through the field of arts. Camp Firework, the foundation’s flagship initiative has been enriching activities. Starting with the likes of songwriting, shoe designing, and lastly, choreography for over 400 school students from around Los Angeles.
